Re: Thursday 3rd July

Cara got 3s but it wasn't stipulated if it was a,b or c at the time. At the parent's evening in year 3 we got her exact levels.

Re: Half term and Stormy Monday

I don't like it. We heard a loud bang, went to investigate and a wall and a gate have literally been blown down in the garden. Feels like we are in the eye of it. Hope it passes soon. Keep safe everyone.

Re: Sleepy Sunday

Morning, thought I would join the daily chat. :) Just about to do some mammoth amount of ironing then I have to go into town with my eldest who is off to Iceland with the school next week. Anyone ever been there? I have to say her itinerary looks amazing. They are visiting that volcano with a very l...

Re: Finally Friday

All fixable, Jeanette, but probably costly. Another thing I hate about vanning. There is always something to pay out for. I just had a lovely bath, as did Cara. They only had showers there so a soak was much called for. Have the second wash on and have only made a dent in the amount that needs to be...

Re: Thursday

I think it's very unfair of the school to make embroidered tops etc compulsory. It's costly enough without such constrictions. What if you have three in a school or god forbid more?!

Re: Finally Friday

Morning all. We got back late last night from our hols. We were in Cornwall near Perranporth for 12 days and we had the best weather. It's a first for us to have such nice weather down there. I actually have a bit of a tan and we all keep comparing our white marks to see who has the best. :) It was ...

Re: Monday - AGAIN!!

Good morning all. Thought I would post as promised. Cara slept until 9.30 this morning. Kids fest yesterday wore her out. She hasn't stopped talking about it since we left. We had such a brilliant time and even my surly hubby (who reluctantly came) had to admit it was a great day out. Can't wait for...

Re: First PP Period or something else?

But at least you get some sleep, right? Cara didn't sleep through the night until I weaned her at 3 1/2 years. Sounds like it might be AF coming soon.

Re: Breastfeeding Support Thread

I would keep a food dairy just to see if it is certain foods he is reacting to. I know broccoli was a no no with Cara. Have you tried the football hold when feeding him? I know Cara seemed to feed better like that if I was a bit full.

Re: Brrrr-sday Thursday

That's good that you are in catchment. She's clearly a bright girl. I loved the twilight series. If you ever need books aimed at her age and slightly older let me know, Meg literally has bookshelf upon bookshelf of books similar to Twilight. She went through a vampire genre only phase. Thankfully sh...

Re: Brrrr-sday Thursday

Ah, good girl. It's always better to be prepared, eh?! CCHS were talking about putting in a catchment restriction where you had to live within 12.5 miles radius. However I don't think it's been set in stone yet. Are you within it if they do? I have the odd daydream that Cara will go there one day to...

Re: Brrrr-sday Thursday

They don't do spelling tests at all at Cara's school which I thought was weird but apparently it's because they felt kids would learn them just for that one week and then forget them. They had some sort of proof to show this was true so... I don't get it though because they have spelling tests for S...

Re: Brrrr-sday Thursday

My eldest is in year 10. She already has gcse exams looming. Imagine what I am like with her? lol. I sound pushy but I'm really not. I just want them both to do well in life. :)
