Good luck to both of you ladies. My DD1 was an "oops" baby (the most wonderful oops of my life :D ) but I tried for over 4 years to concieve number 2. I hope you both get your BFPs very, very soon!!! :)

Its amazing isnt it, all your teenage years your mum says nothing else but "it only takes once to get pregnant" and now we all want babies its not taking the "once",

i dont think im as bad at waiting to concieve this time as i was the first time, it doesnt feel like 12 months really, i just thank my lucky stars i already have one child so if thats my lot then im still blessed (sounds cheesy i know)

with you both waiting so long are either of you following any other paths to motherhood i.e IVF or anything?

My friend had her baby thru this, the second time i think, and shes hoping to try other round of IVF this summer, but its all about timing isnt it i know she tried for 6 years b4 seeking help......how long do you leave it with ur body clock ticking.......?

hi all just been reading the posts it took me 4 years to have my first child after being told id never have children!! after which i was told i would probably not have any more children, 2 years later i had my son so for someone that couldnt have children on my own i have a daughter whos nearly 3 and a son whos nearly 1 and guess what they are born on the SAME day just 2 years appart.

In all the time i wanted a baby i used to hope each time me and my partner 'practiced' lol it would be the time and it was the times i wasnt thinking about getting pregnant it seemed to work.

My advice is try not to think about getting pregnant everytime you practice have fun and relax, it will happen!

xx

Both my babies are precious 'oops' babies.... I feel truly blessed. I feel a bit odd commenting because of that, but I wanted to share a story to give you hope... my aunt and uncle tried for FOURTEEN years, eventually, on the fourth or fifth IVF attempt, they fell pregnant and went on to have twins...a year after their birth, blow us all, they fell pregnant naturally. Doc reckoned it was down to 1 of 2 things, either the total relaxation that hit them once they did not have to try anymore, or, the discovery of guiness to a) celebrate on the part of my uncle, and b) to boost iron levels on the part of my aunt.... Anyway, what I am trying to say is, it will happen when you either least expect it. From speaking to many people on this topic, it seems the best way to try...is not too! If that makes sense in a cack handed way?!

By the way, this is my first post! Hi! I've been meaning to join since I heard about the group on BBC Essex, and that was probably weeks ago.....rubbish arent I! Kat xxx
